About ERA
The ERA Mission
It is the mission of ERA to support the outsourced field sales function in the global electronics industry through programs and activities that educate, inform and advocate for professional manufacturers' representatives and the manufacturers they represent.
To fulfill its mission, ERA offers a wide array of programs, services and activities, including:
- Management and Marketing Conferences for reps and manufacturers
- Local educational and informational programming sponsored by ERA chapters
- The Representor magazine, published quarterly for electronics industry reps and manufacturers (with articles archived on-line)
- Certified Professional Manufacturers' Representative (CPMR) program, managed by the Manufacturers' Representatives Educational Research Foundation (MRERF) - also visit http://www.CPMR.biz ...
- Certified Sales Professional (CSP) program, also managed by MRERF
- Academic research projects and other resource development provided by MRERF

- Commitment to Performance program through which ERA members pledge to their principals and customers that they will uphold qualitative professional standards
- ERA's Code of Ethics, a commitment to ethical standards that all ERA members make to each other, their principals and their customers
- Publication library of many guidelines, informational and resource materials for both reps and manufacturers
- Lines Available and Hot Lines services for manufacturers seeking professional representation
- Locator on-line directory of electronics industry rep firms
- Ongoing monitoring of and lobbying for state laws
- Updates on federal legislation that protects and benefits outsourced field sales firms
