Manufacturers’ Representative firm has an immediate opening

for a highly motivated outside salesperson to cover an established territory in Connecticut and Rhode Island. The lines represented by the firm are primarily electromechanical and electronic component manufacturers. The duties include calling on OEM customers and working with the various manufacturers that the firm represents, and their distributors.

The ideal candidate would have a proven sales track record and a solid knowledge of the electronics industry and the account base. This person's primary responsibility will be to drive sales growth in their territory by calling on purchasing agents and working with engineers to gain print position. The firm will consider training an entry level person with great organizational and sales skills.

SALES MANAGER

Aerovox, is a leading US manufacturer of AC and DC rated film capacitors for HID Lighting, Motor Run, IGBT Snubbed, Power Factor, defibrillator, Microwave Oven, Power Conversion and High Energy Discharge Pulse Power Applications.

Currently Aerovox, located in New Bedford, MA, has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a highly motivated Sales Manager to obtain maximum sales volume and develop maximum potential sales for our film capacitors within the assigned area.

The selected candidate will have solid knowledge and understanding of the film capacitor industry and related industry products. This person's primary responsibility is to drive sales growth, provide sufficient sales support to increase market share and maintain close liaison with key customers and prospects. In this role, this person will create product information and assist in establishment of sales forecasts and production plans.

Successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of outside sales experience with similar industrial products. Candidates must have a proven track record of achieving sales goals and a demonstrated ability to define and analyze competitors and related opportunities. Ability to make decisions and to think in broad terms. Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment. Excellent communication skills and PC knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
