Candidate should already live in New York City or somewhere on Long Island. We are the premiere connector rep in the territory and are very strong with other types of passives and switches/sensors.We have migrated from straight component sales to a combination component sale plus value add selling( much of it still bought in the territory) including all types of cable assemblies, front panels, keyboards, LCD's, metals, plastics, CM work, PCB's and more. We are financially stable and looking for an individual to help us grow to the next level
The job:
This is a fast paced job that entails multi line selling to key OEM's. You will run your territory as your individual company while we provide numerous leads. This is a fun and potentially very financially rewarding opportunity.
The requirements:
- BSME preferred or 5 to 10 years experience in technical selling
- Well prepared
- Had good mentors
- Leader in and outside of work
- Competitive and successful at present assignment
- Superior computer and on-line reporting skills

Specific job duties:
- Evaluate and select strategic channels to support existing customers and win new customers within the Northeastern and Southeastern states;
- Develop and implement a business plan with these channels that will grow business in these two regions each year, including training, developing and mentoring channels;
- Help company establish strong executive level relationships with the top accounts in these regions;
- Collaborates with engineering, marketing, service and other departments for resolution of issues related to products or services; and
- Collaborates with international sales managers and channel partners on identified international opportunities originating in the local territory.
Requirements: skills, knowledge, and education
- Four year college degree in a technical discipline or business degree with strong technical background;
- Minimum 5-7 years successful experience in a sales management role;
- Familiarity with programming integrated circuits;
- Experienced in capital equipment sales;
- Demonstrates a deep understanding of the customer’s complete application requirements;
- Travel up to 50%;
- Above average oral and written presentation skills; and
- Excellent interpersonal skills, sound working knowledge of Microsoft office tools, familiarity with sales and customer management tools.

Manufacturer’s Representative of electronic and electromechanical products seeking an outside sales engineer for account coverage and development in the Maryland and Northern Virginia territory. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and two to three years of sales experience. Candidate must also possess computer skills and be familiar with the MS Office suite of products including Excel, Word, and Powerpoint. Familiarity with Lotus Domino and Lotus Notes Email is a plus.
The successful candidate should be a self starter and be able to work independently. In addition, the candidate should be able to evaluate, translate and communicate detailed technical requirements from potential customers. Good verbal and written communications skills are a must; as well as strong organizational skills. The position requires daily travel, so a valid driver’s license is required.
